We have not recorded anything nor have we played any gigs. The members of the band have never met each other (or if they have met they certainly don't know they are in a band together). In fact this band exists only in the mysterious, fickle and murky spiritual wasteland that is my mind. Therefore the true purpose of this site is unclear and i shall be exploring this and also other topics that may be relevent.

A timid but hopeful endeaver

It sometimes becomes apparent in this mysterious play of life that certain fears must be faced and that in the actual facing of these fears they are often seen to be not so frightening after all. And so it is not without some trepidation that this reasonably timid but hopeful soul must leave the warm and secure nest of Work For The Dole and embark on NEiS (cert IV in small business training). For someone with such a neurotic and frankly ridiculous fear of bureaucracy and working with forms and money this may be no small endeavor. Thanks to Rupert, a kind and patient teacher. All the best to all the colourful and talented bloggers I have met during my time at WFD.

The spirit is a sport and enjoys to overcome obstacles. It’s amazing how much a self-identity can change and how much this affects your view and experiences of the world. Luckily I’ve seen through a lot of the beliefs and ideas that were immature and detrimental to my happiness. Since we are born we are told that we are this or that. We take on so many beliefs about who we are and what we must expect from this world. Most of these things may have been helpful at one point but clearly many of us live with many ideas about ourselves that are frankly nonsense.

It is less what one is that should matter, than what one is not. To acquire knowledge should not be our first aim, but rather to rid ourselves of ignorance - which is false-knowledge. The qualities we possess should never be a matter for satisfaction, but the qualities we have discarded.
- Wei Wu Wei
