Five minute muse

It's incredible to remember the person that I thought I was ten years ago. It’s amazing how much a self-identity can change and how much this affects your view and experiences of the world. Luckily I’ve seen through a lot of the beliefs and ideas that were immature and detrimental to my happiness. Since we are born we are told that we are this or that. We take on so many beliefs about who we are and what we must expect from this world. Most of these things may have been helpful at one point but clearly many of us live with many ideas about ourselves that are frankly nonsense.

It is less what one is that should matter, than what one is not. To acquire knowledge should not be our first aim, but rather to rid ourselves of ignorance - which is false-knowledge. The qualities we possess should never be a matter for satisfaction, but the qualities we have discarded.

Great start Damian, a Blog is also a way to let out information, or relieve cerebral stress, sometimes just posting tends to create the outcome or style that one's Blog reaches.

Rups :)
